Our Origin Story

In 2013, Mr. and Mrs. Ming relocated to Silicon Valley. One day, while dining at a local Chinese restaurant, the aroma of stir-fried pork wafted past their table. This scent instantly brought Mrs. Ming to tears as it reminded her of the home-cooked meals she enjoyed with her family back in China. In that moment, Mr. Ming had a revelation - he envisioned a kitchen where talented chefs and food entrepreneurs from all over the world could gather to focus on one thing: creating exceptional cuisine. On the other side, he imagined a logistics and technology platform to manage discovery, distribution, and last-mile delivery. This seed of an idea would eventually grow into the beloved WeBox that exists today.
